Every time you buy a pair of Tom's sneakers, the company gives another pair to a child in need. It's a great example of responsible consumerism because a) the philanthropy is really straightforward and b) the shoes are actually cute. The company has been gathering steam for a while now, but it's about to explode into the big time: Ralph Lauren, who has never collaborated with anyone outside his own projects, designed a bunch of Tom's shoes for spring. Expect them to be completely ubiquitous next summer. [Fashionista]
