Design team Shipley & Halmos has never had a physical store of their very own, but this month they borrow the Den storefront at 330 E. 11th Street to showcase their clean-cut, structured fall and winter collection. Den hosts a different designer every few months, and they've definitely steered their October pick towards a seasonally-appropriate gothic aesthetic. The store's current interior references the German Expressionist film The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari, which means saturated colors, spooky chandeliers, and a checkerboard floor so weirdly angled that you might need to pop a Dramamine in order to browse.
