Trader Joe's next target is the Upper West Side. Grub Street: "Trader Joe's, the California grocery chain that has already-thronged locations on 14th Street, Cobble Hill, and Rego Park, will now open a two-level store in a tower under construction at Broadway and 72nd Street next year, according to a proposal submitted to the local community board." Exciting news, but we really need the music of a steel drum band to accompany all TJ's announcements. [Grub Street]
