Last night, designer Kim Johnson sent out an email announcing the closure of her Orchard Street boutique Johnson. It reads:
I am sad to announce that after more than 7 years, Johnson will be closing its doors. Orchard Street has been a great home for us, but our lease has expired, rents have gone up, and we must say goodbye. Thank you all for your support, and friendship through all of these years. It’s been wonderful sharing my life and designs with you. I hope you will all stop by in October to say goodbye. The store's phone is disconnected, but we understand people will be able to drop by to shop their selection of vintage-inspired trousers, tops and dresses through October 15th.
