Designer Yohji Yamamoto's two Meatpacking District stores, both much-obsessed about on this site, will now be opening February 5th. "The new store is the first Y-3 unit to open in Manhattan and will feature Y-3's men's and women's collections, which for spring-summer 2008 are inspired by Japan's ancient history, including the samurai and ninjas. Y-3 is a collaborative line between Yamamoto and Adidas. The Yohji Yamamoto unit is the designer's first collection store to open here in 20 years." [WWD, subscription req]
