You knew it was coming: the impending closure of 45-year-old shoe repair shop A. Fontana, first reported back in mid-December, is now slated for the end of February. To warn his customers of the news, Angelo Fontana's placed some signs in the window stating that he's lost his lease. You have a month to retrieve your shoes, and perhaps to wish the East Village artisan well, before the place is completely kaput.
