A rack at the Key and Poppy sale
When we heard that one of our favorite Soho boutiques, Key, was having a joint sale with the also-excellent shop Poppy, we knew we had to swing by to check out the offerings. What we found was somewhat worth the trip. To make bargain hunting easier, clothing was separated by price. There were a few racks of summery tanks, blouses, and knitwear priced from $30-50, a selection of dresses and blouses for $75 and an assortment of higher-end pieces, considerably reduced at $95-125. The real deals, however, were on vintage accessories.
The boot bin
A bin full of boots contained various styles, from high heeled ankle booties to more rugged flat ones, and many were priced at just $50. Denim, including some hard-to-find J Brand pairs, was reduced by more than 40%.
Basket o' belts
There were heaps of snazzy belts and heels priced at $10 and above. A vintage beaded belt (was $45, now $10) and a braided Velcro belt (was $55, now $20) both caught our eye.
We give them bonus points for a kickass store soundtrack, with songs from De Stijl and The Boxer albums playing as we shopped. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in, although we wouldn't say you should trek out of your way to get here.
