Shoppers who wanted to pick up a growler or two for their Labor Day celebrations at Whole Foods Bowery's new Beer Room this weekend were plumb out of luck, as the store had completely run out of the glass jugs. According to a man working the counter on Sunday, demand "far exceeded" the company's expectations. The store is supposedly getting a shipment of growlers this week; you may want to call to check availability before you go.
