From our always-fruitful comments section, two items of note.
JERSEY CITY—Re: Simply Vera by Vera Wang at Kohl's, a commenter writes: "I just checked it out in Jersey City. The collection is spread out by section, so the intimates are by the entrance that one would enter in if coming in on PATH, and the real collection is downstairs. Accessories are in the appropriate department (i.e. not with the clothes). And shoes and bedding (as if anyone cares!) will be coming in tomorrow."
LOWER EAST SIDE—News about the closure of Rivington Street vintage boutique Honeymoon, from the owner: "Sorry to tell you, I am not dead ("kicked the bucket.") Store was actually forced to close due to flooding by Con Edison. In fact, Honeymoon continues as a by-appointment-only showroom to the fashion industry."
