Another furniture store in Soho might not be the kind of news that gets the pulse racing, but we're actually quite excited for the imminent opening of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, which secured the retail space in André Balazs' One Kenmare Square residential development (more easily found on Lafayette Street, just below Spring). If you're unfamiliar with the company, this CoolHunting interview with the designers is a good read, and check out Racked's primer on the place, too. When Racked operatives dropped by the space yesterday to chart the progress, workers told us they were racing to make the grand opening tomorrow, which if accurate is an acceleration from its previously announced October opening date. They do look just about ready, though.
The signage, waiting for its reveal.
