The Meatpacking District long ago became the Epcot of restaurants, with Buddakan, Vento, Ono, STK, Pastis, and more all in walking distance of each other. And with every new boutique opening and flagship rumor, were getting closer and closer to the age of the Mepa Fashion Mall. The latest brand said to be eyeing space in the vicinity of anchor tenants Dianne Von Furstenburg and the Apple Store: Helmut Lang, which is quite interested in the space just to DVF's west—and, ahem, across the street from Jeffrey—according to a well placed tipster.
