BKLYN—So where will the Brooklyn Apple Store go? Where, people, where? Your guess is still as good as ours, though you do have to like 25-1 on Redhook. Here now, some of your best guesses. And by best we mean most genius, not best. 1) "I think they'll build it on the site of the Coney Island Nathan's. Or maybe they'll make it a cube-shaped plexiglas barge and call it the Floating Apple Store Lady." 2) The answer is clear -- it will have steps leading down to a glass cube submerged in the gowanus. 3) "It will NOT be Williamsburg for the simple fact that Hipsters are poor and don't buy Macs at retail price. They buy G3 iMacs off of Craig's List because they're "vintage" (translation: cheap.)" It's not too late to weigh-in of course. Over here, please. [RackedWire]
CAPSULING—A query, to round out this week on the Racked: "Alice Temperley’s Go Collection for Target is supposed to launch this Sunday – any news? Two staff members at the Target store in Brooklyn said that (once again) they probably wouldn’t have the collection out until Monday morning even though the launch is supposed to happen on Sept. 16. I am dying to see the stuff in person, I think the photos look promising but there has been little to no buzz about this launch lately. I guess we have a bit of diffusion line fatigue?? Or Vera has ruined it for everyone? I have high hopes for Alice Temperley – I paid an arm and a leg for one of her dresses but I love it, I would love to add a few more pieces to my collection without going into major debt." Hooh, boy. Deeps breaths. [RackedWire Inbox]
