Yes, it's time again for a little thing called Mo' Banks, in which we profile new checking and saving spots around town. If you've spotted another bank opening, let us know. And now, on to the banks!
1) Flatiron: At right, please note a new branch of Chase coming in on 19th Street and Park Avenue. For Chase customers who live or work on this block, this is unquestionably glorious news. [Racked Staff]
2) Dumbo: More Chasey goodness! Exudes Brownstoner, "We're hard-pressed to think of a retail opening that we've been more excited about than the Chase bank that's coming to the corner of Front and Jay in Dumbo." Apparently the doors opened last Friday. [Brownstoner]
3) Central Village: If you missed the news on Eater, beloved University Place eatery BBQ has been forced out of business. Can you guess what is going to open in its place? A bank! [Eater]
4) Midwood: The goal to transform every single retail location in the five boroughs into a bank continues in this part of Brooklyn, too, where Park Avenue Bank is set to open in two weeks on Avenue J. Per a recycled press release, "The state-of-the-art facility, which will feature noise-reduction equipment and high-cubicle walls, providing the utmost privacy for customers, is scheduled to open the week of Monday, Sept. 24, with a week-long celebration for residents and owners of neighborhood businesses." Glory. [Brooklyn Eagle]
