Some loved Central Village eatery BBQ, some hated the place. Regardless, the restaurant, recently shuttered, was somewhat of a University Place institution. As to why it closed, well, the owner of the building apparently didn't like how smelly the restaurant was, and decided to lease the space to that always safe and palatable of tenants, a bank. Here we have a photo of the space, pre-bankified. Expect glossy signange and the clean smell of money to replace dingy windows and the odor of ribs. We have yet to find out which bank, exactly, will occupy the storefront.
