Salon Gets Creative During Soho Power Outage

Part of Soho lost power last night, forcing the hairstylists at salon Dop Dop on Mercer Street to take their cutting outside. From a Racked correspondent, who snapped the photo: "The east side of Mercer Street between Prince and Houston lost all power—except the Guggenheim Building (so American Eagle, Prada, and Lure were fine). Woo Lae Oak was candles only, as was Haven, Casablanca, Via Bus Stop, and as with the blackout Dop Dop took the customers outside. They were all in good spirits though—most either drank up the time in Mercbar or apparently went to Lure or Fanelli's judging by how crammed full they all were." Bad luck for anyone wanting a blowout.
