Yes, it's time again for a little thing called Mo' Banks, in which we profile new checking and saving spots around town. If you've spotted another bank opening, let us know. And now, on to the banks!
1) Chelsea: A North Fork has popped up on Eighth Avenue and 17th Street, in the space that previously housed a laundromat. It's joining Citibank, WaMu and Valley National on the already bank-saturated corridor of Eighth between 14th and 20th Streets. People in Chelsea must love having so many options. [Racked Staff]
2) Cobble Hill: The Soverign Bank in Two Trees' Court House building that we noted back in May is now open and serving customers as we speak. It's pretty hard to ignore, as they've got lights blazing inside the vestibule till all hours of the night. [Racked Staff]
