Rackage: Forever 21

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Rackage is a look inside recently-opened stores around town. Today, we drop into fast-fashion chain Forever 21's new Soho outpost.

Unstoppable cheap-clothing force Forever 21 quietly opened their Soho store last Wednesday, and we stopped in today to browse and snap a few pictures. The bi-level space is actually pretty beautiful, with high ceilings, orange-hued chandeliers and polished black-and-white floors. Though the clothing is neither more or less enticing than at any other F21, fans of the retailer's offerings would do well to hit up this outpost in lieu of the others simply because it is (for now) very neat.

Pretty fancy, right?

A huge bird that sits at the front of the store. We have no idea why this is here.
