From the MySpace blog of A Kohl's employee, about Vera Wang's Simply Vera collection:
Current mood: crappyHow very informative. As the September 9th launch date for this line draws ever closer, we wonder if Kohl's would consider opening a Simply Vera pop-up shop in Manhattan. Or, a boutique could carry a few pieces of the collection a la Opening Ceremony and Topshop. Anyone with us on this?
Category: Fashion, Style, Shopping...The rollout is going to be really huge -- the new fixturing and mannequins, etc are pretty outrageous. The price range is not bad -- the most expensive item (in Misses Apparal) for the initial rollout is an overcoat costing about $150. And that's regular price. Any Kohl's shopper knows that most items are rarely ever advertised at regular price. In fact, most of the store is usually at 30% off. And then, there's always the fact that everything eventually goes on clearance to make way for the current season's new collections.
