One wonders if Vera Wang will time the opening of her new Soho boutique at 158 Mercer Street to the launch of her cheap-chic collection Simply Vera for Kohl's (a la Alice Roi). A Racked tipster writes, "I saw a sign this morning on Mercer st, across from Marc Jacobs, that Vera Wang will open there soon." The store, which was reported on way back in January, will house Wang's ready-to-wear and Lavender collections and is slated to open this fall. The designer's line for Kohl's will roll out in stores in early September. [Racked Inbox]
