We've been a little bit lazy with the Storecasting of late—an almost overwhelming amount of new shops have been announced recently, and we've been occupied with other things. So we're taking the whole day today to bring you news of all the stores you'll soon see opening around the city. Consider this our fall shopping preview.
Soho: 40 Mercer, the Jean Nouvel-architected, André Balazs-designed Soho residential development has found another suitably high-end, slightly-boring tenant to join the building's retail stable (which includes Wachovia and Viviene Tam): audio equipment seller Bose. A source writes: "Saw a guy putting up signage in the windows of 40 Mercer the other day. He said BOSE is taking up the space just to the north of Wachovia Bank on the NE corner of the building (next to the glass-walled "park")." That's 1,640-square-feet that'll soon be filled with all sorts of premium speaker systems. Wondrous. [Racked Inbox]
