Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Time again for another installment of In The Window, in which we collectively monitor the goings-on behind the glass. If you've seen a notable display, do share. Bonus points will be awarded for digital photos.
A special Racked correspondent sends us this photo, taken last night, of the window of Stacey Bendet's Nolita Alice + Olivia boutique at 219 Mott Street. According to Fashion Week Daily, the vintage bergere chair seen here was reupholstered in black crocodile fabric by Bendet's friend, socialite/interior designer Celerie Kemble. We doubt that Celerie or Bendet got down on their hands and knees to create this summery Barbie vignette, though. No, that had to have been a task left to some lucky assistant. We do give credit to whoever put this display together, however, for creative usage of children's toys in a retail environment. Gold star.
UPDATE: Via an email from Stacey Bendet, we are told that she did indeed get down on her hands and knees for this Barbie installment. Apologies for jumping to conclusions about the assistant—and much respect.
