Church Cracks Down On Butt Billboard

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

In the case of the Times Square church vs. a bidet company, a New York court has sided with the religious institution, declaring that an ass-baring Toto Washlet billboard in Times Square can not show bare buns. Now, instead of nekkid rears, the new ad "has a white bar going across the bottoms, 'in effect 'clothing' them by removing any hint of their anatomical features,' the company said in a statement." Dov Charney must be a bit nervous about the outcome of that trial.

As seen yesterday on the the American Apparel Daily Update blog, a little boy rubbing the be-thonged ass of an AA model in an AA store in Tuscon. We just really wanted an excuse to post this picture.
