RackedWire: An Empty West Village Storefront & More!

WEST VILLAGE—A worried reader dropped a query into the Racked Inbox this afternoon: "Would you happen to know what is going into the retail space at 387 6th Avenue in the West Village (6th Avenue and Waverly - next to the Waverly Diner and across from Duane Reed)? I actually live in one of the apartments above. The scaffolding has come down, but based on what is going in there, the apartment rent may be going up. Please help me find out." Well, after a bit of online research, we've got nothing. If anyone has a clue, please do share that knowledge. [RackedWire Inbox]

DITMAS PARK—Remember all that hububb about an Associated being taken over by a food co-op in Ditmas Park? Well, the new owners have plans to "roughly triple" the size of the grocery stop. That update's via Ditmas Park Blog; they were informed via a neighborhood flier. It's interesting how news is circulated over there. [Ditmas Park Blog]
