Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Rackage is a look inside recently-opened stores around town. Today, we journey to Soho to peer inside Space.NK's shiny new product palace.

For those who love a good exfoliating scrub or are entranced by the myriad Essie hues on the shelves of their local Duane Reade, the stateside arrival of British apothecary Space.NK is a very, very good thing. The 2,000-square-foot store, the company's US flagship, is stocked with a plethora of high-end skincare, makeup, hair care, fragrance and body care products. We don't have the space to list them all, but here's a few to whet your appetite: Dr Hauschka, Laura Mercier, Nars, Lipstick Queen and Peter Thomas Roth, as well as the company's own brand. Space.NK is planning on opening three more NYC stores, which has got to suck a big one for competitor Sephora. Well, may the best product shop win. If you'd like to read more about the store, the Sun printed a nice piece a few weeks back.
