Rackage is a look inside recently-opened stores around town. Today, we take a trip to Soho to visit Kate's Paperie.
Kate's Paperie, as seen above, recently moved from Broadway to Spring Street. At 5,500 square feet, the new location, which opened on Monday, is much smaller than their original space. The store, which had been on Broadway for 15 years, had to move when their lease was up (forced by rent increases, of course). Kate's still stocks the paper goods—notebooks, cards, stationary, journals—they've built their reputation on, but the new store also boasts an expanded printing area and, to be unveiled in July, a snazzy digital photo album center.
