Storecasting: Two Furniture Destinations

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

1) Soho: Coming September 7th to 451 Broadway between Grand and Howard Sts is CB2, the Chicago-based, lower-priced sibling of Crate and Barrel. We mentioned the store a few months back, but look, a shiny new email has just been sent out about its impending arrival. We can hardly wait as well! [Racked Inbox]

2) Flatiron: Have you caught wind of this whole eco-friendly design movement? Right, ah, that was us just pretending to be obtuse because everyone's talking about environmentally-friendly products. So gird your loins, earth lovers, for Environment Furniture, Inc. The retailer is planning on opening a location at 876 Broadway and 18th Street in July that will feature "an evolving design concept that will reflect its urban surroundings." [Treehugger]
