While the rest of the world buzzes about the upcoming iPhone release, mobile phone company/wireless carrier Helio is prepping it's New York City flagship store at 622 Broadway between Houston and Bleecker Sts. A special Racked correspondent, who sent us these pictures, noted that: "The sales staff was hanging around inside, with a few display cases still to be stocked and pieces of furnishing to be unwrapped." We're hearing that a soft opening is likely later this week, with grand opening next week before iPhone day, a.k.a. June 29th. Though the company's got some impressively sleek and shiny devices, opening 'round iPhone launch time has gotta be rough. Interesting move, Helio, interesting move.
