Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Another Meatpacking store to look forward to (you know, besides the Apple store, Barneys, Poleci and quite a few others) is Iris. The company, based out of Italy, makes shoes for high-end labels like Chloe, Marc Jacobs, Sonia Rykiel, Veronique Branquinho, Proenza Schouler and Viktor & Rolf; this outpost, at 827 Washington Street between Gansevoort and Little West 12th Streets, is their first foray stateside. If that "opening June 2007" signage is to be believed, we'll be seeing the interior of this boutique quite soon.
