From a very special downtown correspondent comes photographic proof that the Hermès storefront at 15 Broad Street between Exchange and Wall Streets is officially unwrapped, allowing us the first glorious peep at the store's facade. At first glance it looks staid and substantial, just as we would expect. But traders looking to celebrate today's rally with a little something in an orange box will have to wait a while longer: The facade may be complete, but the store is not yet stocked. See all those empty racks just waiting for merch? Let's hope there's nothing but upticks from now until the store opening. Bears don't ring registers, you know.
