Brooklyn Trader Joe's Looking More and More Likely

It wasn't too long ago that we heard a rumor about Trader Joe's opening at One Brooklyn Bridge Park. At that time, it was just that, a rumor. But now, a note from a tipster makes it all sound so...plausible.

My builder has been walked through One Brooklyn Bridge 3 times now with clients. He's been told, in front of the potential buyers, that a deal is in the works with Trader Joe's to come to the building. That unless something goes drastically wrong, it's a done deal. (Personally, I think it's an odd place for them. Zero foot traffic. I guess they want all the car traffic coming off the BQE? And they'll have part of the parking garage reserved for them maybe? I'd think they'd be much better off in the Jail building on Atlantic or a new building on 4th Ave.)
A done deal? Together now, everybody scream!
