Right this very moment, there are a perhaps fifteen hundred people (an eyeballed guess) waiting to get into the Meatpacking District Apple Store. Keep in mind, will you, that there are two other Apple Stores in Manhattan. Also, it's snowing heavily outside. The cult of Mac's pretty amazing.

End of the line, looking east. The store's up ahead there somewhere. Did we mention it's snowing?
The first person in line arrived at 1am this morning. Not iPhone-level dedication, but impressive nonetheless.
