The building on the right that looks like it could use a good power clean will soon be home to A.P.C.'s new outlet, A.P.C. Surplus. The storefront is located at 33 Grand Street near Kent Ave, the blustery stretch of Williamsburg by the waterfront that's also home to plant shop Sprout Home, antique and home store Moon River Chattel and excellent Italian restaurant Aurora. According to Men.Style.Com, "the long-delayed shop will carry customized vintage military pieces, discounted items from past seasons, and, of course, the line's signature denim products..." Since the place's windows were shrouded when we stopped by over the weekend, it was impossible to ascertain just how much work is left to do on the shop, which we last heard was slated to open January 11th (A.P.C. staffers peg it at "mid-January").
A closer look at the grime-encrusted exterior (which we hope they leave as-is) and the ornate window security bars.
A look inside the entryway
That's a permit for three floors you see there. Three!
