Remember how Poleci was going to be the next posh women’s clothing store in MePa? Yeah, we kind of forgot about it, too. The stylish designer clothing line was scheduled to open a second national store months ago on Gansevoort Street. Today construction workers were still putting basic store structures in place. At least the walls and glassy counters seem to promise a sleek and glossy design. A company employee on site said that they’d be opening this weekend. “Hopefully,” he added with a nervous grin.
We have a feeling it’ll be a little longer than that, so anxious customers, you’ll have to continue buying your classy contemporary women’s clothing at Poleci’s MePa neighbors: Diane von Furstenberg, Theory, and Charles Nolan, to name a few.
