It's always interesting when a website spawns a brick-and-mortar store. In only a few weeks, Audio Cubes will do just that with a brand-spanking new shop at 69 East 8th Street in Greenwich Village. Opening December 8th, AC Gears will carry an assortment of gadgets and electronics. From the press materials:
AC Gears will be the first of its kind in the United States, catering to the consumers looking for something more than what electronics giants such as Best Buy and Circuit City can offer - namely, innovative electronic products with a strong emphasis on colors, style, and design. The store will be completely white, with one wall entirely devoted to various headphone sets where customers can try each one out individually. The rest of the store will focus on hard to find Japanese and European electronic toys. The store won't be the last for the company—plans are in the works for an flagship in Soho and, if things go well, other outposts around town. If you've got a geek in your life, it could be a good place to browse for gifts, as they plan to offer a selection of robots, DIY kits and other cool tech items.
