Though flying has lost any romantic mystique it might have once had, the allure of packing up a cute dopp kit with mini bottles of your favorite products and folding sweaters into a neat little rolly suitcase hasn't faded one bit (at least for us). No wonder then that luggage chainlet Flight 001 has expanded their operations with a boutique on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope. The shop, which opened last Thursday, looks to be a carbon copy of the company's outpost a few blocks away on Smith Street, with curved white walls and small inset ceiling lights that mimic the interior of an aircraft. A well-edited selection of luggage and other accessories from brands like Y-3, Samsonite, Jack Spade, Paul Smith and Orla Kiely are filed neatly on shelves; the store also offers beauty products from labels like Frederic Fekkai, Malin+Goetz and our personal favorite, Mario Badescu. For more on the Flight 001, head over to Metromix or click around the company's own website.
