Rackage is a look inside recently-opened stores around town. Today, we check out tattoo parlor Brooklyn Adorned in Williamsburg.

When it comes to inking people, the tattoo artists at New York Adorned are known for their talent and professionalism. Opened in 1996 by Lori Leven, the East Village shop has become a destination for body art afficionados. The shop's done so well that Leven decided to expand to Brooklyn. In mid-September, she opened Brooklyn Adorned at 376 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg. The new outpost is triple the size of the original shop, and offers an expanded selection of Leven's unique jewelry as well as a larger tattoo parlor allowing artists more space for long-term custom work with repeat customers (drops ins should go to the East Village location; appointments are required for the Brooklyn outpost). If you're planning on getting something done, hit up an ATM beforehand: tattooing is cash-only, while piercings and jewelry can be charged.
