Liz Claiborne's planned expansion of Kate Spade has begun. A Racked reader writes, "I was walking by with my coffee—I saw architectural plans labeled 'Kate Spade' in the old 'Body Shop' space at 20th and 5th. Could it be new location? Time will tell." The space in question is a 2,250-square-foot storefront at 135 Fifth Avenue, and yes, it will most definitely be opening as a Kate Spade boutique sometime in the near future. Where will Kate land next? Well, in a whole bunch of places if the Spade's parent company has their way. Which is great, because no one is sick of that brand.
