Luggage and travel store Flight 001 is opening a boutique on increasingly fancy Fifth Avenue (58 Fifth between Bergen and St. Marks) in Park Slope within the next month. It will be the mini-chain's second Brooklyn location, as they also have a year-old outpost on Smith Street in Boerum Hill. From the Brad John, the store's co-founder: “We are looking forward to making our innovative products accessible to travelers of every kind, and making travel an enjoyable experience for everyone.” Well, an Alexander McQueen for Samsonite trolly suitcase doesn't really make that four-hour layover "enjoyable" or fun, but it does make it slightly tolerable.
