As the opening date creeps ever closer, let's check in to see how things are progressing at the Muji site in Soho. It's clear that all traces of Iceberg Army Navy have been removed from 455 Broadway, and look—the Japanese chain recently announced its presence in the space with this muted window display. If you can't read the signs placed under the giant canvas bags, they read "Bag of no frill. It's modesty." Modesty, in Soho of all places?
This is the best shot we could get of the interior of the space. You can make out a pressed tin ceiling, what looks to be tiled floors, and a wood counter. It looks like they don't have too much work to do before the store's November opening date.
