Add Forest Hills, Queens to the list of outer-borough neighborhoods that are earmarked for shiny new Starbucks cafes. Developer David Koptiev, who is putting in a small shopping center at Metropolitan and 71st Aves, wants to lease space to the coffee king and to a currently unnamed bank. His response to community leaders and local residents, who are leery about the whole thing—'Maybe we should make a poll. What would you rather see - a nice shopping center or an empty hole?'—strikes us as rather aggressive. Does it have to be one or the other?
