Rackage is a look inside recently-opened stores around town. Today we check out the new NHL store in midtown.

Well look at that: the National Hockey League has just opened its own massive flagship store. The pro-sports league partnered with Reebok on the 6,700-square-foot emporium, which debuted to frenzied hockey fans last Friday. A Racked reader writes, "Long lines, promotions, games and activities, giveaways, and former Islanders on hand to sign autographs. Was a mob scene." The shelves are stocked with jerseys, hats, t-shirts, sneakers and other accessories for men, women and children representing all 30 of the NHL's teams. But there's more to the place than gear...much, much more.

Some highlights of NHL Powered by Reebok, from their website:

· " An integrated Starbucks within the store that provides the Starbucks experience while also invoking the love of the game through custom finishes and furniture, and a one-of-a-kind hockey mural." Thrilling.

· "An ice wall, made of real ice, which serves as a backdrop to feature merchandise as well as the Stanley Cup at select times throughout the year." Okay, pretty cool.

· "High definition projection screens and monitors throughout the store that captures clips or display real-time in-game video." Very nice. The only thing missing now is a bar.
