Buried deep in the Village Voice's lackluster "Best of NYC" feature this week was a nugget of info about Atlantic Avenue men's boutique Hollander & Lexer: Owners Hicham Benmira and Brian Cousins are going to roll out their own sportswear line next year. That's great news for local guys. Hopefully it'll somehow embody the slightly-musty, antique-y appeal of their excellent shop. The store wins "friendliest menswear" from the paper, who mentions how pricey H&L's clothing and accessories are while lauding the joint for great customer service. Apparently, owner Benmira "will remember customers by name, embrace them in greeting, offer sage fashion counsel, and never betray the least annoyance if that counsel is declined."
