In The Window: Marc Jacobs Spooks the West Village

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Time again for another installment of In The Window, in which we collectively monitor the goings-on behind the glass. If you've seen a notable display, do share. Bonus points will be awarded for digital photos.

When he's not frightening the neighborhood with his expanding empire, Marc Jacobs is spooking passersby with the Halloween decorations in his Bleecker Street store windows. Never one to forget a holiday, the designer's taken pains to assemble a group of ghoulish, yet-well-dressed mannequins. These displays are almost as scary as the price of his platform wingtip heels. Almost.

Take a peek at more windows here.
