Those looking to bolster their casual formalwear collection or off-the-rack suit game can head over to Brooklyn Tailors' sample sale, running through Saturday. Next door to the brand's Williamsburg location on Grand Street is a narrow retail space housing men's and women's shirts, pants, suits, and outerwear in a variety of fabrics and patterns.
Walk in though the glass doors and turn to your left for men's button-up shirts ranging from $35 to $60, arranged by size, going from small up to extra large, with the bottom half far more stocked. You'll have your choice of fun patterns and plaids or solid colors.
Nearby is a rack of cotton, wool, and linen blended suits—about 20 in total—priced between $350 and $450. Like much of the selection, it's a hodgepodge: there are gray, blue, and brown options in solid and checked patterns. If you're looking for a blazer, rather than a full suit, those will set you back between $175 and $275.
Season-wise, the merch is a bit all over the place. Ties in both winter and spring fabrics are $25 to $35, men's and women's outerwear runs from $350 to $400, shorts and chinos are between $45 and $60, and pants go from $85 to $120. Women's items like silk blouses ($120), skirts ($45 to $60), and dresses ($85 to $120) can be found towards the back, on two separate racks.
There isn't a ton to sift through, but for non-boring workwear, Brooklyn Tailors has decent options. Check out the dealfeed below for more info.—Ted Simmons
