Welcome back to What's In Store, a Racked feature where we fill you in on what's in stock at the city's best stores right this second.
Williamsburg's main stretch is in the midst of a retail boom, yes, but it's been of the mega-chain variety (J. Crew! Madewell! Urban Outfitters!) with one notable exception—Concrete + Water. The light-filled boutique, opened two weeks ago by couple Hannah Dilworth and J.D. Gluckstern (she's a stylist, he's a DJ), is the perfect McCarren Park bookend to the neighborhood's other indie, multi-brand giants—Bird (on Grand Street) and Swords-Smith (on South Fourth).
Like its predecessors, Concrete + Water carries men's and women's clothing and accessories from a mix of contemporary brands (Samantha Pleet, Lizzie Fortunato, Sea, Nanushka, Etre Cecile), but there's a special focus on Australian labels (Hannah and JD lived down under for a few years) and locally-made home goods.
Below, we've rounded up the best of Concrete + Water's fall arrivals, including camel coats, plaid dresses, sake sets, and cross-body bags.
