Finding simplicity in Times Square is no easy feat—but it just got a little bit easier with today's debut of Skagen, the accessories brand that creates beauty out of straightforward design. Named after a Danish seaside town, it's best known for its watches but also carries jewelry, bags, and small leather goods for both men and women.
"We're going to expand the notion of what a watch business can be," company president Jennifer Pritchard told WWD. "Since we're not a fashion brand, what we need to do is build a vocabulary of products that people can collect and use over a long period of time."
Skagen already has stores in malls and outlets across the country—including Illinois, Texas, and California—but is looking to expand its stateside presence. Locations weren't specified, but they're looking for "areas conveniently placed for international travels," according to the paper.
