By the time we arrived at the Manolo Blahnik boutique sale about an hour after the doors had opened, the line to get in had already meandered past Il Gattopardo and was well on its way towards Connolly's Restaurant Pub down the street. We made it 20 minutes later, just as one shopper with two handfuls of bags full of shoes that are up to 75% off squeezed out the door.
The shoes were divided into four prices, by color—red-stickered items are $195, yellow stickers are $225, greens are $250, and blues are $295. Original prices for some of the styles included here were as much as $900.
Expect to find a lot of pumps—satin and leather, original and embellished. The front section of the store was dedicated to a collection of printed and jeweled footwear, and we also spotted a lot on sale from the resort collection.
If sling-backs are more your style, you're in luck—colors for those ranged anywhere from basic black to the tapestry-inspired Carolyne pump.
As for sizing, most of what was on display ranged from 35 to 37. But while we were there, shoppers looking for sizes as large as US size 10s were able to find what they were looking for with the help of a sales associate.
We weren't able to take photos inside the sale due to security. The line was dwindling by the time we left—now's probably a good time to go check it out.—Paula Ya-Jen Ho
