Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
It's time to refresh the Racked Vintage 38: your guide to the city's all-around best vintage stores. In the map that follows, you'll find a focus on stores and markets that specialize in high-end designer brands or historic pieces from past decades, meaning you won't find chain consignment stores in this mix. However, we have included a handful of boutiques that do employ a more thoughtful buy-sell-trade structure. Pure furniture stores were excluded, but you will see shops that have home goods sprinkled in.
We've done our best to cover a wide array of neighborhoods and prices—from the Upper East Side boutiques that favor Chanel and Dior to the Chelsea emporiums known for their Victorian. See them all in the map below, and shout out your favorites in the comments section.

Update: Tiger Blankets has sadly closed, so it'd been replaced by Rosebud Vintage in Crown Heights.
