GOWANUS—Since a second location in the East Village isn't enough, Miss Lily's is headed to the rooftop of Whole Foods for a summer kickoff barbecue. Between 5pm and 8pm tomorrow, head over for their signature Jamaican fare like jerk chicken and grilled corn accompanied with DJs spinning Caribbean tunes. The best part? It's all free.
FORT GREENE—Head over to the just-landmarked Brooklyn Navy Yard Saturday evening for Trashion Fashion, showcasing apparel made from "clean waste." There will be a fashion show on the rooftop garden, an art installation, food and drink, and more. Tickets are $50—with proceeds benefiting NY Sun Works—and they can be purchased here.
WILLIAMSBURG—To kick off the launch of its e-commerce shop, Something Happening is hosting an in-person pop-up shop all weekend long. Head to the offices at 1040 Metropolitan Avenue to check out curator Cynthia Chang's eclectic mix of offerings, including apparel, home goods, and jewelry.
