Looks like time's up for Freitag in New York—and in the country. Bowery Boogie noticed two signs indicating that the space on the corner of Bowery and Prince Street is up for lease, meaning the Swiss retailer that makes bags out of tarps will be exiting its only standalone US store after a three-year run.
There's no word on an exact closing date, but if recycled bags are your thing, you should probably stop by sooner than later.
